Do you think that people are inherently good or inherently bad? I am one of those people who believe the former, even when I see things happen that look like I should change my mind about someone. Thanks for the patronizing title, I really like that. Just kidding, kind of. You said that, "There are people who literally do not care what others think about them." I don't think it's beyond possibility that there are people out there like that, but I personally don't know any. I want to say that I'm not sure if it's really possible that that type of person actually does exist. Human beings are social by nature. This is why we co-habitate and feel the need and desire to start family units, and even have friends, acquaintances - simply social interaction in general. Humans will literally die without the love of another human being ( ... )

Now, you do raise a good point. Normal human beings need interaction with other members of society. However when I said that there are people who exist that do not care what others think of them, perhaps I didn't make this clear before, they are not 'normal'. Studies have shown that there are psychological effects if someone is completely isolated from the outside world and while that might lead to death, it is not always a given result. Psychological abnormalities (for whatever reason) have created people who hold no regard for the thoughts or feelings of others. We like to call them sociopaths (or to be more politically correct now, they suffer from Antisocial Personality Disorder) Now not all sociopaths are violent, but they all have a disregard for social norms and/or the feelings of others ( ... )
