I am 21 years old and I still live with my parents. I have a nice job that pays a descent wage. Still, for a teenage male, Car insurance, tuition, food, and all that good stuff cost a lot of money. I just don't have it. I have a 67 Ford Mustang. I want to rebuild it. It runs but right now it just sits on my driveway rusting. I have a choice to spend the money I earn on my g/f or on my Ford. What would you do in this case?

Holy shit. We're brothers from different mothers. I'm 21, still live at home, have a pretty good job, and I too have a busted car. I chose to save the money and rebuild my bottom end with arias 9:1 cr pistons, crower con-rods, and my crank micropolished/balanced...all for my new turbo setup. I should be makin some pretty good power. Unfortunatly (depending on how you see it) I have an acura integra gsr which will be a 1.9L turbo when I'm all done, and I know nothing of fixing up domestic cars. I still say you fix the ford, don't just fix it, rebuild it better, and add some new goodies to the motor. But buy your girlfriend something nice every once in a while, I'm sure she puts up with a lot of shit. I hope I helped.

Thnx brother. It is always good to hear someone elses opinion in this type of matter. I always had the thought of spending the money on her just didn't know how much. Enough to get by.

The Mustang has a new 3.01 L, fuel injector, High speed performance clutch, 5 speed manual, new cromes, new fender, goodyear race tires, new shocks, power steering, goes 0-60 in less than 10 secs, sits 2 inches off the ground feels like I am sitting on the street! It just needs a new paint job and an internal job. It all cost roughly $7,000. Paint job is the most expensive. $4,000 to sand it down and paint it metalic blue. Right now i am driving my ranger until I can collect all the money.

My grandmother lives in Sandiego CA, When ever I drop by Ill race you!

That'd be good. If I get my car running in time. Good luck on the paint, you should post some pics of the final product. I know I am.
