This is an interesting question, and I think you're probably right. Then again, I don't really trust doctors (I have many good reasons which I will not go into here), and really only see them as a vehicle for getting drugs. When I go to the doctor all I want is for someone to tell me I'm not dying and then give me some drugs. But if I had a serious disease, I'd be terrified. I'm sure there are some doctors who would call up their patients and say, "You know what? I was wrong," but I think there are far more who are just interested in getting your money and their pharmaceutical kickbacks. Sadly.
