I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this.

Left outside Hermione's door in Kashtta is a thin package. The package is simply wrapped up in brown paper and a thin blue bow. There's also a small note on a piece of paper slipped under the bow which reads.

'Hermione,

Heard around the Tower that it was your birthday, thought I'd get you this.

I really hope it's not too late.

I saw the transmission.

Not entirely sure what to say, I guess.
Not sure how to feel, either. I'm angry, and a little afraid. But I can deal.

What I do know is that I have these... DNA mutation/manipulation or Rift power, whatever you'd like to call it. I have these powers and I want to put them to good use. I want to fight.
