pattern making 
sewing
dyeing
and pulling shitty little straps through strands of burlap
and washed the shit out of everything i dyed.

I feel like everything I like to do craft wise is bad for the environment

ahhhhh that is what i want to be doing!!!!! i wish i could make a pattern myself, but seeing as i can barely follow pre-made ones i think that will have to wait.

girl, no waiting! just grab something simple you already have and trace it onto a big piece of paper. that's all i do.

For my sister's wedding I cut over 100 yards of burlap with extremely dull scissors to make table runners. It was a very unpleasant task, at the end of it I was covered in jute. I feel your pain.
