ok, not keys like a lock. like on a keyboard, for your comuter.

question, who decided on the order of the keys, its so random. did he just pick a letter out of a hat and do it off of that? i mean comeon, he must have been a loser....

I remember we had to memorize the keyboard at St. Charles with that lady, I cant spell her name. She was crazy. I also remember that typing program..Mavis Beacon? Yeah, that was it. No the guy who decided the order of the keys was obviously not a loser, I mean we still use the order he made up. Okay, thats it.

i think they decided the order of keys based on the frequency of letter usage...but yeah, still a loser

it has to do with coding. when computers first came out, it wasn't for entertainment in the least bit. the people who used computers used it to write up programs and such. programming doesn't consist of normal words. it's a bunch of characters mixed together that mean different things. the most used letters for coding are your home keys including ; because the apostrophe was used quite often too.

...hanging out with a computer geek for a while..sort of makes you become one.
