... I should probably clarify this, since it seems to have confused several people.
I am not human. I'm a Koorime-- or an Ice Maiden, a particular race of female youkai with ice abilities. The word youkai is another term for demon. Monster, if you'd really prefer it. I've been called that before, too. I will always be a demon, even if my eyes don't glow or I don't have sharp claws or fangs. My lifespan may be longer than the average human's, but I can feel just as much as a human can. I don't thrive on the suffering of others. And while some youkai may prey on humans, I am not one of them. ... And, while I'm flattered that some of you have insisted that I can't possibly be a demon, I assure you that I am.
... And that not all demons are beings you need to fear.
Ah. And on another note...
I'm very very sorry to those who met me while I was young.
