Brionac is the elite organization of the Congressional Knights, you idiot.

Feh, it seems that the entire expedition was a huge waste of time...who cares about all this crap?

[Locked]

Heh, that asshole is acting strangely? I would have paid to see him act violently.

Duly noted. And you must be... Lieutenant Jeremy.

Research isn't something you can just dismiss right away. It requires careful study of the facts and... ah, nevermind.

[Locked]

It seems this "Shinju" character is the trigger for this behavior.

That's right, the Inertia Canceler!

Feh, talk to someone who actually gives a damn about research!

[Locked]

Shinju? That little brat?

[Unimpressed tone.] Right.

[And thus he's going to drop the subject.]

[Locked]

Yes. So you've met him, then?

Homonculus? You're kidding me, right? That's an old Alchemist thing. Similar to a golem, if I'm remembering correctly.

Golem? This "Despair" looked as human any of the others here... But that is what he said. If you could help find any information on this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Pointing me in the direction of a volume or two on the subject would be fine as well.

How sad is it I know this off the top of my head seraphsariel December 29 2009, 21:05:45 UTC
Golems are a figure of Jewish folklore - men made of clay. The actual stories vary and get more detailed as time goes on. You'd want to go and check out the golem of Prague legends for the most common form.

However, that's just a similar creature. A homunculus, like I said, is an alchemist thing. Tends to be more quasi-scientific. But that's about all I have to offer, I was never a practitioner, even when it was fashionable.

I think you mean awesome i_said_science December 29 2009, 21:30:39 UTC
... Hrm. [This is the sound of him scribbling down a few notes.] As much as I dislike the idea of magic or alchemy, in this place it's not something I can so easily dismiss...

...and all this is in the East? This...what happens if...'Despair'...[here, she pauses, seemingly pondering what exactly a Shinju lookalike could possibly be.]...comes into the rest of the City?

I mean...anything that speaks like that...it sounds dangerous.

...why would Kresnik be violent towards someone like that, if he had been nothing but apathetic before?

[Audio] i_said_science December 30 2009, 05:43:33 UTC
That's correct. ... I'm not entirely sure.

I agree. If it can become water, of all things... Well, that combined with the fact that it didn't sound entirely friendly...

[Locked]

Don't ask me. I'm not his psychologist.

So it could very well be anywhere right now...what of Shinju? You said this creature - this 'homunculus' - looks like him.

[Locked]

You were with him most recently.

As far as we know.

I wouldn't know--I've never met the young man.

[Locked]

All I know is that he became violent when this "Despair" turned and walked away. I couldn't say what went through his head at that moment.

須王環- is Suoh-san, I think. Tamaki Suoh. He's not been around for a while.

猫澤梅人-is Nekozawa. Emmy might know him better, but I haven't met him.

And yes, that does appear to be Shiinju's name. Interesting.

[locked]Kres... when Shinju lost it, he managed to kill Kresnik. And Kres thinks he's defective because of it.

[text] You coulda copy+paste+google'd it too. :3 But you got it~ i_said_science December 31 2009, 03:34:25 UTC
Thank you for that.

[Locked]

Defective? You'd think he'd be a bit more self confident, seeing as he's an officer in the military. Oh well. Nothing to do but hope it passes, I suppose.

Perhaps this is something you should relay to the princess. She seemed rather insistent that I find out why.

[text]Oh, well I feel smart XD More fun this way though. Literal trans made me gigglefit. femmebutdanger December 31 2009, 03:54:15 UTC
No problem.

[locked] Think about it for a moment though. Kres's had years of training, plus he's enhanced. And he got taken out by someone who's blind. Hell, I feel rather defective myself, and I managed to get in a few lucky shots.

I don't really want to talk with her at the moment.

It does make a bit of sense, if you put it that way. Still, it seems a bit counter-productive to continue moping around.

Well, it's no concern of mine.

I can assist you with the names of that you were not able to decipher, if it brings you any form of aid. I know them very well.

((OOC: I know it's likely too late to reply to this, but I have to ask... is this the Nicholas Angel that you're referring to? ))

The first one is "Suoh Tamaki". He used to live in the city, however he moved away a long time ago. I imagine that he is back at the high school in Japan he is so famous for.

((OOC: Oh kewl. And ;LKADSJFJHFHSF!! When was he here?! That's so AWESOME!!!))

So it's as the young woman said, then. I suppose that's all I need to know, seeing as the room was empty. It makese sense; once the owner of the door disappears from the City, all contents of their room in the "heart bank" disappear as well.

[OOC: Long, loooooong time ago, when we first started. Hagane played him. sanford_angel]
