I just want to send out a thank you to the girl who tried to help me on the bus the other day--when I slipped as the bus started moving (trying to put my son in a seat) and dislocated my right kneecap. People are so incredibly rude, I remeber back like 10 years ago (I was about 13) and I was on the MAX and this girl got on (in her late twentys) carrying a few hospital bags and her NEWBORN baby, No one and I mean NO one got up on this crowded MAX, So I the little punk girl with half of my head shaved and my face all peirced up stood up gave everyone else a dirty look and let the girl sit down, I then proceded to help her up her apartment stairs and into her apartment (she had stiches and was having a hard time walking. I wish people would be more curteous especially to people who have children, handicapp or who are elderly.

Yeah, it really bothers me, as well. Not just because it happened to me (though I guess that always helps remind people of how cruel others can be). Not just on the bus, but in general, people really should learn to help one another when the someone is in crisis. Goes back to the 'ol golden rule, I guess, which to me isn't so much religious (as I'm not religious) but just common sense...
