I figured I might as well update my LJ. I've just been hanging out with friends the past few days. On Tuesday and Wednesday I saw Liz, and then we met up with Lisa, Emily, Sarah, and Stephie at Uno's to celebrate Lisa's birthday. That was fun. We proceeded to a dessert place on Main in Clarence and then decided, randomly, that we wanted to go to Niagara Falls. Somehow we got separated and so I drove Lisa and Liz (Emily had to go home) to the Falls, while Stephie took Sarah. We hung out there for an hour or so, looking at the pretty lights flashing on the rushing water, running up and down hills and steps, and taking pictures. It's amazing that a lot of people go to the Falls at night. Like we saw a lot of tourists there. I was worried cuz we didnt pay to park and I thought I might get a ticket, but all was well. It was getting late so we headed back home and I arrived home after midnight.
Yesterday I spent the day with Tim, meeting up at his house, getting Chinese for lunch, watching a couple of movies - I introduced him to The Hours, which I think is a great film. I love how he's so cautious to watch films that I suggest but usually he ends up enjoying them. Like it's a surprise I have good taste in cinema. So then I went home to eat dinner and go buy some shoes with my mom, cuz she pays. Later I met up with Tim (ditching my friends I went to the Falls with, who were at a party at another friend's house, and Caitlin and Chelsea - who wanted to see a movie, but didnt) and Ben. I wanted to watch another movie but they wanted to watch Dave Cook and we just ended up talking a little and watching some Kramer vs. Kramer, another great film. But I couldn't finish it cuz I had to go home and sleep.
Just a quick note at the Tornado Watch that was in effect this evening from 4 to 10. Wtf? It's Buffalo. We're not supposed to have tornadoes. And the rain fell heavily at times. Like when I drove.
Tonight I went to Emily's at 6:30 because she's leaving tomorrow for Pittsburgh (she's going to attend Carnegie Mellon). It was fun to remember good times and eat some pizza. Emily showed us a magic trick that she messed up twice, we played telephone pictionary twice, and we also enjoyed Taboo. This Taboo, however, was not the edition I owned, and they had odd subjects like "Mike Tyson" and "clarinet". So my team lost. But it was fun. After that we moved inside to watch people play DDR. I sort of refuse to attempt to play because I can imagine how poorly I'll perform. We found Emily's new notebook computer and searched online at prisonpals.com. Well first Stephie and Debbie just looked for prisons in our area and in Boston, where Stephie'll attend Boston University. But we somehow they moved onto looking at prisoners themselves, and we all started getting interested at laughing at these incarcerated fools. This is not to racially stereotype, but they were almost all black. We'd laugh at shit they'd say (like "Hey baby I'm ready to get to know you") and how they all, practically, claimed to be wrongfully convicted. Some were serving life sentences, for such fun reasons as manslaughter, aggressive assault, rape, capitol murder, attempted murder, etc. We'd laugh at the measly drug trafficking convicts, judging them not too harshly. Stephie also looked up Jewish dating services because she's infatuated with that ethnic group. So a good time was had by all. By this time it's 11:40, Mrs. Allen wants us to clear out, and Stephie and Lisa get motivated to go to Starbucks before they close at midnight. I drive with Emily to the coffee house and we order drinks. They were just going to go back to Emily's (Em had to finish packing, Lisa was staying the night, and Stephie's car was still there), so I left to go home. I gave Emily a hug, told her to "have fun", and wished her luck. It's so weird to say good-bye to people. I mean I know I'll see her, but it's weird when I used to see her every day at school in the same classes. She reminds me of Kelly in their innocent, ultra-happy/hyper, child-like qualities. And both intelligent, though perhaps lacking in common sense. They're "cute" that way.
So now it's 1 and I'm getting tired. I really want to spend all my time left having fun with friends before I'm gone. I'm pretty sad. I want to forgot drama and shit and just be cool.
