Hi everybody! Sorry for being sorta flakey with the random posts and not replying to all my comments and what-not. I'm still slowly working towards being super-enthusiastic about this season of Spn. This last episode helped a lot.

LOOK! I even have some things to say about it. Meta-y, music-y things!

Oh, very interesting! I have loved this season from episode one - can't help it, hard-core fangirl - but i love all the meta that's come with each episode.

And this is all new to me, all so very interesting! The theme of being 'true' to yourself is so entertwined with all seasons of Show - it's awesome to see it once again, new character(s), new takes.

Plus -comments are informative and fun! Overall great post. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! It's a great theme, because I think it's one that most people who have the slightest tendency towards introspection can really relate to.

Smilla mentioned your meta, and I found really interesting, thank you! I know Peer Gynt only through Grieg, I am not familiar with the Ibsen or really the legend either so this has just added a few more layers...

As this episode was an Edlund one, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had at least some of these layers in mind too - the man has a fascinating brain!

Yes! I'm so betting Ben Edlund is TOTES clever enough to have been quite concious of all the layers of meaning by using this song in particular.
