Watching F1

Mar 27, 2009 21:26

I love the internet, my laptop, and this era. Normally, watching races on TV is rather annoying, because you only hear and see what the broadcaster wants you to see. Doubly annoying here because some aspects of the race aren't covered in Canada, but they are in other countries. However, thanks to current technology I can get around this problem.

So, my laptop screen is a mass of windows showing pretty much everything I need to follow the race, as you can see here:

The top-left shows a bunch of weather info and the track map live from F1 Administration.
Middle top is a live feed of the BBCs interactive commentary, along with a live feed of the current drivers and teams standings.
In the top-right is the Vista sidebar apps for weather and CPU load usage.
Bottom-left is a live feed of the BBC's F1 TV coverage.
And Bottom-right is the live timing data feed direct from F1 Administration, covering all teh drivers and the current standings.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for this sort of stuff.
