Elisabeth Sladen died yesterday, aged 63. But you knew that. She was a wonderful actress, a sci-fi icon, and a much-loved star. But you knew that, of course you knew that. What more is there to say?

It's a sad loss, and seeing that CBBC page shows just how much she means to kids today as well as us older fans.

I've heard that the filmed SJA episodes include a series finale - they were filmed after they finished the last series as apparently she knew she was ill, but hoped she'd recover and come back to make the rest of the final series.
