More ladybugs today. They were here yesterday too.
Do insects migrate, or have these just hatched? It's kinda weird, whatever's going on.
I'm not sure whether it's related, but earlier last week I was seeing a lot of birds around. I think the Golden Crowned Kinglets would be too small to eat ladybugs but these were the most abundant birds just ( Read more... ) -

A very buggy day today, for some reason. None of the windows in our offices were open at any time, but:- a very large paper wasp in my assistant's office first thing in the morning, which I squished against the ceiling

Nice dinner tonight out with some friends at Soba-ya in the East Village. Had a wonderfully complex duck broth with spring onions; though they're best known for their soba made from imported Japanese buckwheat, tikimonkey and I both opted for the udon instead. I was thinking hard about camels earlier today, and I made a mental note for myself to put up a journal entry about them and how the local zoo should get some, but I can't remember anything more specific than that.
There was some specific reason why I thought camels would be good at the local zoo.
