So, between the vampuberty in the fall, and the Angelus problem in January - my acceptance to the University of Cambridge's Department of Genetics has been rescinded. Apparently even family emergencies and/or being incredibly ill (deathbed or no) are not an excuse for being unable to show up for start of term seminar

If I were a regular human or something, that might work - but... the head of the department and of the university are demons, and they've heard of me. It's not like I didn't try to convince them or find a way around it before I 'gave up'. Besides, they DID give me an extension once - unfortunately I didn't meet the deadline on the extension. So, no genetics research for Connor.
