siete: wondering.

[Caesares is in his room. Video is apparently his friend. He's busy, moving religious icons around, and carefully removing crosses from the wall. He actually had all the things his mirrorverse self put up, so he's finally getting to removing them ( Read more... )

Forgive me, sir, for being absolutely blunt here.

You are very fortunate he does not hate you, and you were more than right to ask for a change of inmate.

As I would feel gravely wounded, as if my privacy had been violated exceptionally, if my mind had been read. No matter of the circumstances.

But surely you understand how for a man with such... intense issues surrounding his privacy, for a man with his history, the fact you could do that, and you were willing to, is far worse than it is for a man like me.

I had actually wondered if he was lying to me when he told me that. I actually hoped he was.

And I apologise if this offends you, but I can only speak what I feel on this.

No, it's fine. I upset myself as well. I despise that I was reduced to it. That I became that angry. I've spent a long time trying to help others regain their memories that I was infuriated with myself that I went that far to stop him from trying to kill someone.

Which is what he was doing. His intent, regardless of any thoughts, made that clear. And he had an innocent as an acceptable loss.

I no longer recall anything that I saw. I've at least that unique ability. And I assure you, it won't be happening again. I'm on extremely good terms with my current inmate and no emergency can likely press me that far again. I'd much rather leave him entirely up to you.

I am quite aware of what he did, you don't need to inform me, he already has.

I am relieved to hear you are furious with yourself and will be leaving him alone. But I cannot simply hear that and not say a word against it, when it is my responsibility to defend him where necessary.

Have you received a copy of Mr. Profit's file?

Of course I have, yes.

I wanted to be certain.

Good luck with him.

Forgive me, but why would you be uncertain?

Mozenrath is no longer my inmate, but until he has been reassigned -

He was recently involved in an altercation with Profit, Nygma, and Shego, though indirectly. I don't believe he has a personal problem with your inmate, but I would not be surprised if Profit now has a problem with him.

Mister Profit's problems with others are something I can discuss with him.

I do like to hear all sides of a story, so if there is anything you wish to tell me on this matter, you are welcome to do so. Privately, of course.

If you find it necessary to pursue the issue after your discussion with your inmate, I'll provide you with transcripts of the pertinent communications, but I do suggest you speak to Patrick Kenzie, Shego, and Mozenrath.

Otherwise, I would far prefer to let it lie. If Mr. Profit has no grudge against the concerned parties, it's best not to dredge it up again.

I need no transcripts, it is perfectly fine. I shall discuss the matter with him and then decide what to do.

A perfectly understandable thought. Many thanks for informing me.

I have a tendency to hide from my responsibilities. It is not quite walking away.

Mr. Profit used to make advances at me. He hasn't in quite some time, and I have no idea what he hoped to achieve. I... am rather known for being a bit emotional, if that is the right term.

Not quite, no. Hiding is different to calling something at an end.

Very well. If anything arises between you again, let me know. If he hasn't done it in a while perhaps he does not have cause.

If you insist on that...

I will. It wasn't entirely unwelcome, but it ended so abruptly I have the feeling he was up to something. I simply do not know what it was.

There are moments when walking the way is the best thing for everyone involved, because you know that if you stay, you're going to be damage to the other person, and damage to yourself.

Sometimes it's better to walk away then to stay. But it still hurts to do so, and it doesn't stop for a while, if ever.

Being right doesn't make it hurt less.

Never, but that must be the burden you bear.

As there are many times it hurts to stay, too, but it is the right thing to do.

It's all quite circumstantial, really.
