[Infirmary doctors only filter.]I imagine you all know, to some extent, why I am bringing discussion to the table. I discussed it openly enough. Dr Lewis expressed concerns, and I don't think they should ever be ignored or go undiscussed ( Read more... )

[Remus blinked quickly, groaning loudly when he started to become aware of the fact that he wasn't in his room and that the light hurt his eyes. Each movement sent pain shooting through his neck and his first conscious thing was a murmured.] Blimey.

[Caesares didn't even flinch, even if he felt like jumping out of his skin for a second. He offered Remus a glass of water,] How are you feeling?

[REmus blinked and he took the offered water, swallowing it with a grimace.]

Like I've fallen off a broom and hit the qudditch pitch. I'm in the infirmary?

[Fallen off a broom? The most this gets is a slight quizzical raise of the eyebrow.]

Yes. Are you aware of what happened to you?

Someone was murdered, I think Constable Crabtree has all the details of the actual crime scene and what I've told him so far.

Okay. No offense, and I'm sure George has it under control, but why bother including me on the filter if you're not giving out the details?

Because I didn't know, when I first wrote this, who was investigating. I filtered it to the people I told the man at the scene who were former police officers, detectives or investigators.

I didn't know who amongst those took responsibility.

All right, I'm here. I'll see you shortly.

I might be... more than a little late. But I'll be there presently.

[paaaaaaaause. this has been a long day.]

No. You never mentioned it and... well, I never thought to ask. Never mind, then.

Don't worry about it, I have no other plans.

Sorry, I should have mentioned it to you. I was finding life here with nothing to occupy my mind extremely frustrating, working in the kitchen hasn't really resolved that, but it has made it clear to me that they need all the help they can get there.

I'll be there as soon as I can.

I thought you might - that's why I was a little surprised you weren't. Except you are.

If you'd like something a little more... cerebral, perhaps, I can look into it. If you'd be prepared to help them still, as you're right, they do need it.
