Oh, I would be grateful for any bit of advice. How far from me can I possibly sit you without breaching protocol? Would it be unseemly to proposition Mr. Sarkozy over the welcoming drinks? Ought I phone to Mr. Villepin just to gloat about his not being invited? How can I tactfully ask Mr. Blair for Mr. Gordon's personal phone number?
