dessert help!

Party tomorrow! 
I am making a variety of these (my "cheater" version uses Pillsbury croissants instead of phyllo dough)
Lots of people are bringing Middle Eastern inspired things so I want to add something from Asia or Latin America to the mix. Probably a dessert. 
Anyone got any ideas?

You can venture in the cream-desserts like pani-cotta. But, if you can't get the ingredients that are used in Asian desserts, you really can't make them. You can do things like presentation though--like very small cream puffs, or miniture cakes, or individual desserts. But, most of that stuff takes a LOT of preparation and time. If the party is tomorrow, even though it'd be fun to do something different, you might be best off sticking with what you feel comfortable and confident with making. When there AREN'T special parties to put pressure on you to make something great, you should have special days when you try a new recipe so that you can become confident in it. At least, that's my recommendation. =D
