I would just like to point out that there is a grievious error in my edition of Jane Eyre. p.424 has two footnotes on it, both of which are labelled "1", but the gloss at the bottom of the page has numbers "1" and "2".

...um, everyone?

there's not like those stupid endnotes that take up 20 pages at the back of the novel and explain stupid obscure references...

...these are at the bottom of pages, and include necessary information - such as the translations of the dialogue that's in French and stuff :P

besides, even if I didn't read them, chances are good that I would have noticed the error anyway :P
