I finished my sister's sweater, which I tried to take a photograph of, but it's too dark to see any details. I used this pattern:
Berroco "Lucy" I used
Patons Decor yarn in 1633 Chocolate Taupe I also made a couple of necklaces for gifts:
For Trisha:
It's light pink, clear and swirled tubular
glass beads with a
star and moon hook and eye closure. I used two strands of wire and twisted it a bit to get the effect.
For my mom:
It's got red, purple, clear glass beads with a
heart clasp. I used two strands of wire as well.
It's to match her Red Hatter Society stuff (red & purple). Not sure if anyone knows what I'm referring to, but the
The Red Hatter Society is for women to get together (usually older women... they wear red & purple to each meeting. And if you're not over a certain age, you have to wear pink and lavender instead). I think my mom really enjoys her time with the ladies, I hope she likes the necklace. Beading is an expensive hobby!
I've decided to finally make something substantial for myself. I saw this pattern booklet from Patons and really liked the sweater on the cover of this book:
Street Smart Originally I wanted a wool blend but Patons doesn't make a dark enough grey, so I'm making it in a sportweight acrylic yarn in charcoal grey. How exciting!
