music has no purpose...its another attitude. another lifestyle. or a part of lifestyle. like punk. emo. heavy metal. etc etc., depends on the person. i think punk sucks you may take offense if you want. its not got as much power and energy as the others. there's power in classical music. there's brute force in heavy metal.
