When I was in Ireland back in November, work decided to send me to San Jose for six months come January, but then that fell through. Instead work decided to send me to England for six months come April, but today I found out that trip isn't going to happen either. So now I'm staying put. Things are getting more stable at work, but that stability ( Read more... )

This puts a dent in the plans I was making for us to go to Brussles. That said, all the more reason to come to San Francisco now, when I still have free weekdays. Have I mentioned that it's spring here? Spring. Like, real spring. With flowers and sunshine. And no snow.

Well, we need a reason to justify living in a place with an insanely high cost-of-living. :-). (And I left out the fact we've been getting a lot of random rain because of El Nino. Oh, and there was that tsunami-warning thing last week.)

Joel - Seriously, come now! I need an excuse to have brunch on the deck at Zazie at 1pm on a Wednesday. :-).

Ah, but this is the problem. Any time I want to actually go looking at dining room tables, I'll have lots of offers from people to take me. The think is, I really don't like shopping for furniture. I keep hoping that some industrious beavers will show up while I'm out of the house, and build me a perfect dining room set.
