Personally, it sounds to me absurd. Your body is a body. It had no intended form, it has no intended form, there is no "right" or "wrong". You may not like what you've got, and you're perfectly free to modify it, as needed.

That's my main complaint with the quote. The idea that there was an unfulfilled intent that someone is fulfilling by modifying oneself. Not only is that a line, but it strikes me as incredibly dehumanizing. You didn't modify yourself because you are an intelligent actor with preferences, but because "you should have been" that way.
