Moving

So, we're all moved in to our new apartment. It's actually more of a townhouse, considering it has 2 floors, and is only connected to other apartments on either side. I love knowing there's no one above us clomping around, and no one below us for us to disturb. It feels a lot more like a grown-up house, and I like that ( Read more... )

My advice is you should buy a house now instead of paying rent for years. It might be more expensive to pay mortage, especially since in five years time you'll want a much bigger house than one you'd need now. But maybe you can find a small house that has a big lot so that you can renovate it in a few years to add more rooms to it. Well, I guess that depends on if you know which city you'll be living in after a few years. Also, fyi, you can take out your RRSPs to use as a downpayment to a house (upto 20,000$) so that is something else to keep in mind :)
