Hmm … yeh actually, I didn’t observe much the backgrounds till you mention about it. It looks like there’s more greenery/life in the background on the woman’s side - the man’s side looks dead in the first painting.

Personally, I find the second one more intriguing - the red wall looks like a deliberately tilted ceiling; the white ceiling looks like a tilted pillar. The nightsky looks eerie with the black 'clouds'.

Yeh, that’s a good point raised. And that’s why we have the art of Fengshui - modifying the environment to bring in good luck and love. I heard Ms Lillian Too and her Fengshui magazines are really hot among young Malaysians and Singaporeans now.
