me me mine my me mine
myself in the big scheme of things
my focus is on ME
and it's not how it should be

that's the problem
it's not a spiritual thing anymore
it's only about you
and what you need, or what you think you need
and what your god can do for you
it's selfish, really
when are you going to realize that you don't matter
you're not special ( Read more... )

you're dilluted. everything that exists has a casual-biological basis. shut up.

you could have stated your point more nicely. but i guess that's not the kind of person you are. *

machines have no souls in that something could be created identical to the machine in physicality and purpose. the worth of a machine is measured in how helpful it is to the work of humans.

the miracle is birth, not death. a human is not a machine because every aspect of a human, from the physical structure of the cells to mental capability, is astonishing and irreplacable. the soul of a human is its conscience and spirituality, its understanding of life and death and purpose.

humans have the ability to have faith, faith in humanity and faith in the universe and faith in spirituality and faith that we have the ability to leave something behind that no one else could or will have left. that's how we aren't machines.

you're going in a different direction than i am.

no, i'm not saying we're literally robots.
i'm saying, metaphorically, we are machines.
it's as if we've been programmed.
programmed to be how we are because of what happens to us.
i don't think we have a choice in the matter.

why look at the big scheme of things and not look at yourself?
self-evaluation is much more important than trying to see everything at once, because you're nothing but you. seeing the big picture does nothing but effect "you" anyways.

i evaluate myself all the time. i can only get so far with that.
sometimes i think it's nice to take a step back so you don't get too caught up in yourself.
i don't want to confine myself like that, you know. i'm interested in the cosmic intertwining of the universe and every particle that makes it up.
