Do you watch things like Nanny 911 or Supernanny? If so:
1. What do you think of the advice given?
2. What do you think of the families pre-nanny?
3. Do you think the families stick with the advice post-nanny?

2. No basis on which to form an opinion. The portraits of the families are falsified.
3. Some do, a little. Others don't.

1. I think it's practical and sometimes very obvious. I think people often need a kick in the head to realise that their children aren't just born disobedient and that the problem often stems with the parents. Fortunately, it's not a "omg! society always blames parents!" atmosphere and parents are empowered to get over themselves and fix their own house.
2. Often there's a lot of disrespect and my heart breaks for a lot of the children who are victims of neglect and alienation of affection because of whatever issue their parent/s has/have.
3. I think it depends. I think some do and some don't. I only saw one Nanny 911 where the family resisted the nanny (Nanny Stella) completely and she left shrugging her shoulders.
But all reality television is edited in such a way to shape and direct our perception of a situation. Things may not always be what they seem.
