Least you could do is a little underlighting for your terrain elements. Maybe a working streetlight or two, but noooo.

At least get a bare bulb swing lamp positioned over your table and claim that it's a night battle with one of those mini-sun flares the military uses, then turn out all the other lights.

Haha, sadly, the first thing I thought when I saw the terrain was that their buildings are way to clean for that planet.

The lighting is amazing. I'm sure we could pull off the same, if not better, if we had the time, resources, and vast storage space. Let alone the need for a lava planet.

EVERYONE needs a lava planet. After all, remember that battle in WWII where.... the.... uhm... with the lava?

The saddest part for me is, there isn't a thing that he did there that I don't know how to do (I certainly haven't DONE some of them, but I know how they're done.) but the sheer scope of it is crazy. And Cory's right, if we had the space, supplies and motivation, we could do it too. I think that foam core stuff is great if you can afford a tonne of it to learn on.
