Today is draaaaaagging on. It's so hot even with the air on because, oh yeah, we don't have central air. (We have individual window unit things and the one in the living room is smaller than it should be for the size of the room so it doesn't really cool things off, just makes the room tolerable.) do you put a standing fan in front of the window unit? at our last place it would get 110 in the summer, and all we had was one low to the ground wall unit (wtf, assholes? HEAT RISES! BRING THE COOLING AGENT UP!). we would put a fan in front of the unit, and turn it on high and have it oscillate. it helps blow the coolness around the room, at least. then, i'd cheat and fans to try and blow the cool air into other rooms. it's not the perfect solution, but it does help!

No I've never thought of that! We have a standing fan that oscillates so I will have to try that.
