Seems sort of silly now that I asked who was staying since I just ended up spending most of the holiday alone. Not complaining, just saying. From what I've gathered, though, everyone had a wonderful time with their families and loved ones and that's really just great

No, I wasn't. Not really. I chose to stay here. It's fine.

How awful it must be, to be entirely without people who care for you. Although I have to admit, I can't relate, having never known the feeling, myself.

Mmm. There are a lot of feelings you've never felt before, aren't there? Generosity, good will, amiability, for starters. Oh! And that sort of tingly feeling you get when you realise you're intelligent. You couldn't relate to that one, either.

And then, of course, there are the more sensual feelings. Those I won't even begin to get into, lest you get lost and begin to cry. No one needs to see your ugly gob more twisted up than it already is.
