So in order to secure a loan for $700 billion the US Government voted to raise the legal debt ceiling to 11.3 Trillion Dollars. This is bad enough I suppose, but it makes you wonder, how did they end up with such a round figure. I mean it isn't like the amount is around 700 billion, it's $ 700,000,000,000.00 on the nose. Because in this day and age, armed revolution is impossible. That's not hyperbole, it's literally impossible. You'd need a concerted effort simultaneously at every level of government, meaning that you need a greater force multiplier from the revolutionary level than you do from the establishment level - and that isn't present.

90% of US gun owners don't know the first thing about using them properly. Compare that to about 75% of the US military that doesn't, and even still, the balance of power lies massively on the side of the government.

All that being said, things aren't bad for the average US citizen, definitely not in "revolt" territory.

Conjecture: The people who are likely to try an armed revolt know that overthrowing the government won't destroy the secret alliances between business, the military and the security agencies (and maybe the post office) which really run the country. Only your own system of moles can do this.
