You know what? I told my mom how I felt guilty because I got so drunk and that maybe if I hadn't been my MomDar would have gone off like usual and I would have realized your wallet or whatnot and instead of telling me I was crazy? SHE NODDED. Seriously.
So, see, no matter what, my mom loses much more than you could ever lose and that means everything will work out and you and I will move away from our crazy 'rents and it will be all good from there. Even though right now stinks.
