On Thursday, I ran into my favorite teacher of all time at Barnes and Noble (or as I like to call it the Hub of the Lynchburg area). He was my fourth grade history/english teacher, Mr E--some of you may know him-- and I just adored his class. Oh, do pay attention when driving Katie girl, I would hate to see you write in this journal one day how you got killed in a car accident because you were trying to find something good on the radio. You don't want Mr. E "reading about you one day" in the obits.

I should talk, I just got a speeding ticket last week, and I have to do a defensive driving course now. But I was paying attention and knew I was speeding!

I remember Mr. E. He, like most of the G.O. teachers, left their imprint in me forever too. I still have the drawings we did together as a class. One with a house and mountains behind it...

I can't believe how much time has passed.

I remember that house drawing! It's how I learned to draw a house!
