I'm Not Dead Yet

Once again it has been quite a while since my last post.  There has been a lot going on, as usual.  Typically, I am doing more than I can handle this semester, though I didn't realize it until a couple of weeks ago (when I was already kind of screwed).  It was OK until I started working on weekends, though I maintain that there was no way around it ( Read more... )

Hey Brittany! I haven't talked with you in a while. Don't worry, you're in the last stretch for school, it'll be done before you know it! What kind of English class are you taking this semester? I miss English lit, I almost wish I had time for a double major, but not enough to actually do it. :-)

By they way, I would love to hear your theological philosophizing. How's the Unitarian Universalism church going for you?

I'm in the Modernist Tradition this semester, and the material we read is really fantastic: Eliot, Pound, Cummings, Faulkner, Hughes, Joyce, etc. But the professor is very particular about what she wants from us on exams, and unfortunately I don't have the time to prepare properly.

I'm always honored by your interest in my ramblings. I am enjoying the UU church a lot thus far; it is both spiritually and intellectually stimulating.

How's MSU treating you?

MSU's great! This week was probably the hardest for me academically, and it went fine, so it's all downhill from here. :-) I'm staying in East Lansing over the summer and moving in with two girls from my church, so I'm really excited about that!

That English class sounds fascinating! Hopefully I'll be reading a lot this summer. I got a bunch of classics last summer from my Grandma, they used to be my uncle's. They're amazing (complete works of Shakespeare, Aristotle, Gulliver's Travels, Pride & Prejudice, just to name a few)!
