Not just ipods. Do a little googling into Foxconn's production and you'll see they make a huge number of components on motherboards (they even produce their own now). And the rest of the companies making computer/consumer electronics components probably aren't much better.

the entire electronics industry uses slavery or exploits people. there's no way around it. if you're going to use electronic devices, you are going to be supporting exploitation. you just have to decide what you really need and what you don't. nobody needs an iPod.
