Atlanta is designed so that no one without a car can do anything. Not merely "can't do everything", but cannot get a damn thing done without walking to exhaustion or biking ridiculous distances against vindictive traffic, somehow getting caught going uphill both ways. When people talk about "home", they tend to use endless cliches. The thing about cliches is that they get overused for a reason. Home is where you can go when you can't go anywhere else.

Figure out where it is you want to be, and go there. Wherever it is that makes you the most happy. That's what it's all about, right?

I wish I could say more, but I don't know if there's anything more to say. It gives me this hollow feeling right below my throat when you talk about yourself in the first person, but that's probably just something I need to work on.

And the term "home" is a bit overused. And what the person said above is exactly true.

Actually, it was around the middle of the 1900s that people started to need to have a car to get anywhere since public transportation went into disuse and the cross country highway system.

Chicago, isn't that bad; however, to get anywhere, one needs to go into Chicago first and then outward to whereever they wished to go instead of drawing a straight line.
