Tonight - the post-work half of the day - has so far consisted of reading about Belle & Sebastian, and I'm through two bottles of Boone's Farms, which makes me think of Nathan, and we might be going to do karaoke somewhere (and did you know that the -oke part is an abbreviated form of the word "orchestra" in Japanese?) and I'm thinking about Apryl

Yeah. I think Empty Orchestra sounds pretty freaking cool, except its actual meaning (closer to "wordless music") isn't nearly as epic-sounding.

I think someone (like me) should start a music-art collective called Empty Orchestra and we'll follow in the footsteps of New Pornographers and Broken Social Scene and even Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Animal Collective. But we need at least one Canadian, for obvious reasons. I nominate you, and possibly that girl Lily. I dunno what she's up to these days.

...I've been having all kinds of crazy music ideas lately. I think it's because I'm reading the Belle & Sebastian biography, and it's the best ever.
