100 in 2011

Jan 04, 2011 16:42

Despite utter failure last year, I'm going to attempt 100 in 2011 for movies, TV, and books again this year.

Media may be released before 2011, but is new to me this year.

What's your favorite genre for all of them? Without that, here's what I always like to shove at people:

Movies:
Dear Frankie
Death Note (both live action)
Wanted
Take the Lead (you'd LOVE it)
We are Marshall (you'll cry~)
The Terminal
Taxi (lulz)
Dan in Real Life

Books:
Nightrunner series (really, you have to!)
Pendragon series
Percy Jackson series
Finish Harry Potter xD

TV:
THE CAPE!!!111! *cough*
Spiral (the mind fuckery!)

I think that's it for now...

Ahaha, we saw The Terminal together, remember? I commented on how much the score sounded like various John Williams movies because .... well, he scored it.

and I saw Wanted in theaters. Omnomnom James McAvoy.

Tv: Torchwood or Doctor Who and Supernatural are my faves.

Movies: um... I dunno. I am bad at finding movies to rec right now cause I'm too broke so I usually borrow from the library. and by then they're probably too old.

Books:
lets see.
-American Gods- Neil Gaiman
-Good Omens- Neil Gaiman and terry pratchett. This book is hilarity... I can't count how many times I LOL'd at it.

I'm working on the Harry Potter series, and then who knows what else.

The Doctor Who franchise has been really fickle for me. I'll catch a random episode of it at a friend's house (since we don't get BBC America) and I'll enjoy it, but to sit down and watch from beginning to end? I can't get into it. I'm not entirely sure if I don't like Doctor Who or just don't like sci-fi, as I was never really exposed to it until about a year or so ago. Same goes for Supernatural (although the internet has played a part in my disdain for that. Stupid BSC fans).

Film doesn't have to be recent. I'd say within about the last 30-40 years and it's not an obscure film, I could probably find it. Going to the movies is a luxury I can't afford right now either, although I did get a Fandango gift card for Christmas.

I really need to work on Neil Gaiman books. I've only read Anansi Boys, which I really liked.
