I remember when I was really young (early 1990s) the transition period between "Everyone who gets AIDS dies because of it" and "AIDS is treatable if you start treatment early and vigorously." I still see AIDS as something you die from eventually, and wish that most of our teens out there realize that just because AIDS (or any other treatable STI)is treatable, it's not something you want to be careless about.

You meant AIDS in the first sentence. HIV is the virus they discovered. ;)
