To Those in the Know

Abby told me Samson Mors and Svetlana pulled my son down off of the pyre he was burning on.

Samson Mors and Svetlana KavenskayaApparently even wise, old ladies can be wrong. I wanted to believe Samson could help, but I didn't see him risking harm to save my son. And he did. As for Svetlana... Well. I was wrong, and that's all I have to say. ( Read more... )

I'm here.

I'll be okay.

Don't feel like you can't talk about me, though. I don't care.

Thomas, I'm just worried about you.

No need. I'm already dead, what else could happen?

I should go, I think Stephie's sick.

I don't buy that shite, Thomas Ashley. So don't you try to sell it.

I'll come see you soon.

Thank you.

I'm worried too. I want to help, and I hate feeling like I can't.

I did shit all! Well I watched the babies. Which is something. You didn't hurt yourself did you?

He'll let us. I think he just needs a kick up the arse. In a loving way.

It is something, it's a big something. To be honest, I didn't see that much action personally until getting Thomas down. The one thing that did happen... let's just say I got taken out of the fight pretty smartly. It wasn't fun, but at least I got better.

Well, if there's anyone who can dispense the loving arse-kicking, it's definitely you. And Peter.

Oh, you poor dear. I'm very glad you got better.

Peter is rather adept at it, yes. I tend to call myself the Mistress of it.

I'm very proud of my father for what he did last night. We had dinner afterwards. Things are good. I'm really impressed with him.

I have to believe that Thomas will be all right. That he'll talk to us when he's ready. It's always been the case before.

I am too. You'll let him know? You had dinner? Were you alright with that? And now?

Of course he will be. He's a good boy.

I will, Mums. I imagine I'll be seeing a fair bit of him for the next few days too, as I'll be spending a great deal of time at the hospital. I must admit I was rather wary of any invitation coming from him that involved dinner, but after what I'd just seen, I was able to get past that, and I'm glad I did. I honestly think it was the most positive bonding experience I've ever had with him. I look at it quite fondly.

Our Thomas is the best.

I'm sorry for what you had to see and what necessitated it. But I am glad you had an experience where he could prove he does love you in his way, and you could both bond.

You did both eat, right? I don't need to kick him in the bollocks?

But by admitting you were wrong, you show that you really are that wise, old lady (though eternally young where it counts, of course). I saw a lot of brave actions last night, but Svetlana's and Samson's were sure as hell up there with the bravest. Seeing what we saw... Christ, no one should see that, let alone go through it.

I'm glad I didn't see it. Hearing it is bad enough.

Thank you for going after them, Tasha.

You're more than welcome, Mums. I could never leave two of my best friends, one of them a woman I love, and my cousin's girlfriend to the Templar.
