Hi! I found your comic a couple days ago. I keep thinking - why on Earth isn't it more popular?! You probably don't bother pimping it, I can't believe it was around for 4 years and I'm finding out now at the end! Anyway, I enjoyed reading it - it is just the kind of unpretentious, intelligent comic that is my favourite kind. I really admire comic-making in general - seems much harder than most other kinds of writing because it's all in the punchline. You know, you have one or two sentences and you have to say it all intelligently and charmingly right there. I think you've done it great. I'll definitely be reading whatever comic comes after this; it's a shame this one's a Sims comic - you'd probably have much more attention if it weren't so heavily associated with the game.
Aww, it always warms my heart when someone new stumbles across Sam and it makes them smile. I'm glad you enjoy it. I'm sorry I haven't updated more recently--real life has been so hecktic and obviously since I use The Sims2, I can't work on a comic away from my computer--something I've come to be increasingly frustrated with
( ... )
You don't have to apologize for RL, this is your thing, update it when you have the time, otherwise it'll become a burden rather than fun. :) Besides, I haven't been around enough to notice the pause, I've had enough old comics to keep me busy.
What I came back to say, actually, is that the whole time I've been reading, I kept thinking that 'I am Sam' is tons better than many of the terribly well known comics (take the now pretty shitty CAD for example). I really hope the next project will give you more recognition. As for the visual aspect of it, I think your writing is good enough to make up for it as long as it's not, you know, really, really, 'Randall Munroe' kind of horrible. xD Good luck! :D
