ARGH! tell me again why I moved back to GA? I should have stayed in Texas!

Driving to Athens yesterday, I got pulled over for speeding by the Barrow "Speed Trap" County Sheriff's Dept. Argh! I was in a PACK of cars all going the same speed--about 80 in a 65. I'm not arguing I was speeding--I was. But so were the 10 or so other cars in front of, ( Read more... )

I know exactly how you feel.

I got pulled over for speeding in California (with Nevada plates) although I was only going 72 in a 65. I was going the speed of traffic-- in fact, some people were going faster. But what did I get ticketed for? 85 in a 65! That was a $280 ticket. Pure bullcrap.

I fought it through the mail (trial by written declaration) and, of course, lost. Because I'm in another state. Speeding tickets are a ripoff.

man, that sucks. i can't decide if i am gonna just pay it or go to court. i think i will just pay it, even though its $160! at least in my case i know i was going 80--not fair in yours that you were ticketed for something way over what you wer actually doing! that would REALLY piss me off! sorry to hear it happened to you!
