Well, for reasons I STILL don't understand, airlines can overbook flights. How is this legal? I don't know ( Read more... )

they overbooked by 18 people? that's just retarded. by booking earlier you should have had a better chance at staying on the flight, but i guess not. and i love how the solution involves a free ticket, but on the same airline. that's like saying "oh, sorry we gave you food poisoning, but you should come back and order some more half-cooked chicken". or something like that. it's nice that your 12 hour flight will be the one in business class, though, enjoy!

Yeah, really stupid. And it's even better since there are rumors that NWA could possibly go bankrupt. Thus making my ticket and airmiles worthless!

And actually, they have overbooked ALL of their flights that day. I can't remember how many times I heard them making announcements that NWA customers need to hurry to their gates because all flights are overbooked. WTF?!?
