Ask your bartending course if they'll help you get Bassett Certified. If they don't get you certified, you might have to pay more for your certification. You might want to ask about it. That's the general certification where if you get sued, you can say that you took a course on how to recognize fake id's and when people are overserved basically. Some bars require it, supposedly.
I took a bartending course in the suburbs so I could bartend in a better place at U of I, which was pretty much one of the worst experiences I've ever had for various reasons...then I decided that I would just mentor math instead.
