Javert has just taken a nice, soothing bath. His hair is wet and hanging down his back, and while he's working on putting some clothes on, he doesn't seem to care about drying the grey strands. He throws on an outfit and turns to find his brush. Which, of course, is nowhere to be found

Valjean has several packages sitting upon the table, as well as a bouquet of flowers of different hues and shades. While Javert was taking his bath, Valjean silently slipped out.
Now here he sits, his fingers stroking the wooden table softly. He hears footsteps descending down the stairs and looks up. He meets Javert's confused glance with a warm smile.

"What's this?" He motions to the parcels on the table. "What's the occasion?" He smiles lightly and walks around the table to plant a kiss on the top of Valjean's head. "Have you had breakfast yet? I was thinking of making something light."
Then, stooping down for a proper kiss, he purrs, "Good morning."

"Good Morning.I haven't had breakfast,no.I went to town while you were in the bath. These are for you." He gestures toward the items on the table. He picks up the smallest one.

"Thank you," he says softly. "That's kind of you." Awkward. He doesn't want to seem ungrateful, so he gives Valjean another kiss.

He takes Javert's hands in his and kisses them gently.
"I do not mean to overwhelm you." He smiles, and adds, "Perhaps we should eat some breakfast before we continue." Valjean's fingers caress Javert's gently and presses his lips softly against them once more.

"I'm sorry, did I offend you? I didn't mean to. I.. yes, we should eat something, first." Javert returns the affectionate kiss to the hands - now Valjean's hands - and murmurs, "What would you like to eat? I promise my cooking isn't lethal. I think we have some eggs and bacon.."
He's reluctant to move away, but in order for breakfast to be done someone has to cook it. Javert takes this task into his hands and goes about making the meal, sliding the eggs and bacon off the pan once it's all nice and done.
Javert sets the plate down before Valjean and pours him a glass of fresh orange juice. He knew Musetta had been up, since orange juice was her favourite breakfast drink; her governess had made it.
Gingerly sitting down across from Valjean, he places the utensils down and waits for him to start.
