Why does the HTML cutting and pasting never work for me? What am I doing wrong? I just copied it, and pasted it into LJ....

Hmmm. The only thing I could think is that if you're posting via e-mail and you use HTML e-mail rather than plain text e-mail, that would screw things up font-wise and would probably be the problem.

Or, if you're not posting via e-mail, maybe your computer's default font settings for text boxes mess up the HTML somehow.

Would it make any difference if I used the rich text or the HTML text box when I posted? I did not post via email...

Yeah, that's part of what I was talking about, but my vocabulary is lapsing because I didn't get any sleep last night. Try doing the opposite of what you did before and see what happens.
