I cannot say I think much of this. Being whisked away without warning is bad enough, but arriving in this... how do I put it delicately? In this absolute hellhole, it's what I would consider rather rude. A breakfast service would be too much to hope for, I suppose. What a pity that is ( Read more... )

[You are so lucky Jill doesn't care to research what signal belongs to who when it comes to new arrivals right away. But that pharmaceutical company comment has her a bit wary :|]

I'm not sure which companies you've dealt with, but rogue scientists are the ones to blame here.

[...Oh he so recognises that voice but he's damned if he'll give the game away that easily.]

A few, here and there, but I can't say your answer surprises me either way. What on earth did they do to cause this?

[...Well damn it. Always at the disadvantage in regards to him, isn't she?]

It didn't surprise me much either when I first came here. As far as I know they didn't cause this, they're only responsible for bringing others in.

[Yes, unfortunately, and he'll get as much as he can out of her.]

I see. What I don't see is quite they would bother... have they brought many others in?

BREAKFAST WOULD BE COOL. I WANT PANCAKES AND STEAK AND EGGS AND TOAST SMOTHERED IN CARAMEL WITH BANANAS ON TOP.

P.S. SORRY MY CAPSLOCK IS STUCK I CAN'T TURN IT OFF.

...oh my god iamthewheat September 21 2010, 00:36:28 UTC
That's perfectly understandable. I suppose you have tried pressing the capslock button? But I do applaud your... appetite.

yeahhhh I don't even know, man libertyfuckyeah September 21 2010, 00:43:55 UTC
YEAH I THINK IT'S STUCK OR SOMETHING. EITHER THAT OR I TOTALLY SCREWED UP THE PROGRAMMING ON THIS THING WHEN I WAS MESSING AROUND WITH IT. LIKE EVERY TIME I KEEP PRESSING THE CAPSLOCK THING AND EVERYTHING AROUND IT, WEIRD STUFF HAPPENS. WATCH

I'LL FIGURE IT OUT EVENTUALLY.

OH, YEAH, I'M PRACTICALLY ALWAYS HUNGRY HERE, ESPECIALLY NOW THAT MY CHIP'S OUT. IT'S A REAL DOWNER. I HAVEN'T HAD A GOOD BURGER IN SO LONG. AND I DON'T TRUST DENMARK TO FEED ME ANYMORE EVER SINCE HE GAVE ME ROTTEN SHARK.

On the whole, I think I prefer the capslock to... that.

There were so many things odd in that sentence, I don't even know where to begin. I'll start by asking about this chip. And perhaps Denmark doesn't like you.

A-actually, there are a few places that serve some nice food here. But, um, I-I'm sorry to say this isn't a bad dream.

A bad dream would've been too much to hope for, but nice food is a relief.

Mm, i-it's better than nothing! We have a bar a-and a cafe, and we're going to start trying some large scale farming soon. So things a-aren't as bad as they could be.

A silver lining, so to speak. It's good to see a little optimism. Have you been involved with any of those things, then, the bar or cafe?

Have you been given any suitable information yet?

Some information about a chip, that people seem to leave and can come back. And that there is apparently no real way out.

The scientists that brought you here aren't likely to answer.

Rude of them. Does anyone know their purpose?

Reply

arcanacabana September 22 2010, 18:34:34 UTC
Quite. It's more of an assumption that they need us for one reason or another. They are doing it on purpose, whatever the reason may be. Many will tell you we're just specimens. This could be true considering the vaccine...

It could be simply to rebuild their world. They did a good job messing it up as you can tell.

I'm well aware of the capacity of scientists to mess things up but not quite on this scale. What was that about a vaccine?
