I had been contemplating whether I really wanted to drive an hour and a half to a mountain bike race that I wasn't even racing in. I want to go to take pictures to add to my portfolio. I just found out that Lance Armstrong is going to be racing tomorrow! Now I HAVE to go. I've been a huge Lance Armstrong since I watched him race in the Thrift Drug

I found out that I'm pregnant 10/2. The baby's due in June and my first thought was that I'll be on maternity leave for the whole month of July so I can watch the TdF, Lance of no Lance. Anyway, since this is Lance's big comeback year, I told my husband that if it's a boy, we're naming it Lance! (Too bad I really don't like the name). There's an article about him in Bicycling and the subtitle reads something like Love him/Hate him/Hate loving him/love hating him. It's cool to loathe him if you're a cyclist, but I'm sick of being embarrassed about being a fan.

How's Mellow Johnnie's? I read an article about it, and one of the guys who'e helping to run the place had on a t-shirt that read, "Actually, it is about the bike". I want one!

Congratulations! I can speak from experience and say July babies are awesome ;)

Mellow Johnnie's is very laid back. It's the kind of bike shop you go to hang out. Not just buy stuff. He has some really cool high end stuff lying around both for sale and for show, and has some of his TdF jerseys up on the walls.
