focus?

I'm having abnormally much trouble focusing on / completing work this semester - anyone have any tips for focusing on writing and mathematics (or really any other work that is simultaneously creative, involves expected production, and gets somewhat mindnumbing when done in large quantities).

Help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

I can only work if I make a "to do" list of tasks for the day or for the next hour or even for THIS MINUTE.
I also provide lots of snacks for myself to eat while working, although I'm not sure that actually helps lol
Minimizing background noises and getting enough sleep help too.

I used to alternate. Hour of this, hour of that. That's the best I can offer.
